All of my paintings and sculptures represent an intellectual journey. That journey beings with an inquiry process. An array of concepts ranging from sociopolitical commentary such as, cultural invasion, to exploring refracted light through landscapes is expressed through multiple aesthetic lexicons that vary greatly in style. This conscious choice of using seemingly different artistic styles to articulate various issues is designed to invite the audience to reflect on how each person can interpret and formulate a unique perspective while viewing the same image. Finally, the essential question becomes “How does an image influence and connect to one’s personal history?”
